Uganda Cranes Manager Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has responded to former national captain David Obua’s criticism of the team’s performance at the 2017 African Cup of Nations tournament happening in Gabon.
In his commentary on SuperSport, had attributed Cranes’ loss to the team’s poor game structure and compared it to street football.
Many Ugandans did not take Obua’s remarks lightly: they rebuked him on social media.
Now Micho has come out to return fire to Obua.
“Perennial losers and failures with Uganda Cranes that never qualified for AFCON talk with jealousy: same like ‘Bodaboda drivers’ dream and talk of Formula 1,” the Serbian coach, well known for not hiding his emotions, ranted on Twitter.
Uganda Cranes will play Egypt’s Pharaohs on Saturday at 1pm and fans are still optimistic that they will improve their game despite a disappointing start.
