The Inspector General of police Gen Kale Kayihura has made a big reshuffle and transfers that has seen his former blue eyed boy Bakaleke deployed to command the Kampala Metropolitan southern region and a return of chicky Sam Omara.
The new appointments and redeploying has brought back several police officers who had earlier been sent on special training courses.
Other notable appointments is that of Assistant commissioner of police James Ruhweza who is now the new chief of Joint security operations at Entebbe International Airport.
The Assistant commissioner of police Sam Omala is the new director of Welfare, and production for special assignment while Assistant commissioner of police Godfrey Maate is the new head of operations at the police headquarters.
Assistant commissioner of police Dan Munanura is the new director of ICT.
The police force now also has a new director of human resource and legal services in the names of Senior Superintendent of police Stephen Ibanda .
