Democratic Party Members composed of youth actively operating on social media have written a letter mocking Moa on his stand on members rights and freedom to assemble. The youth taking opportunity of the unfortunate death of Ms Peragio Namatovu mother to MP Bukoto East Florence Namayanja authored a letter requesting Mao to clear them travel to Kidda-Masaka for burial on Tuesday this Week.

Last Week, Mao instructed and worked with Security agencies to disrupt a DP conference in Masaka claiming that the organisers hadn’t sought clearance from him to assemble.

The letter dotted by teasing and contemptuous language addressed to the acting Secretary general Blacks Sirinda is directed in particular to Mao’s insistence that Party members must obtain his clearance to hold party activities .The letter stung by her mockery, has gone viral especially on DP Social media platforms.

The letter circulating on social media is reproduced here below;

REQUEST TO ATTEND BURIAL.

To the Ag Secretary General

Mr.Siranda Blacks

City House, K’la

Dear Sir ,

RE: REQUEST FOR  CLEARANCE TO GO FOR BURIAL OF PALAGIO NAMATOVU

With deep sorrow we have heard of the untimely death of mother to our Hon.Namayanja

This is to inform and humbly request you to allow us travel with Hon Nambooze for her burial as per DP constitution article 27 that gives the president powers over members movements.

While there we shall cry, drink porridge, dig the grave and greet DP members we may meet if you allow.

We promise not to cry like Baganda for fear of being called tribalists by his excellency the President general.

Kindly convey our request to Kaihura, Mbidde and Mao.

Hoping for no teargas, Kifeessi or rubber bullets after this request in 24hrs.

Hoping for a quick response.

Yours,

members of your party from Buganda.

C.c Ssembajwe
